On the 16th of March, Khadija El Morabit was very pleased to deliver the opening key remarks at the INLW – International Network of Liberal Women 亞太自由婦女協會 Asia-Pacific Liberal Women Association, APLW INLW Chapter UN CSW70 side event at UN Church Center on “advancing women’s freedom and safety in the digital age.”
On the 17th of March, our president Khadija El Morabit was honored to give the keynote opening speech at the side event organized by the International Women’s Peace Group IWPG and cohosted by INLW – International Network of Liberal Women and the Turkish Green Crescent Society at United Nations Commission on the Status of Women (CSW), UNCW70 in New York, together with IWPG Secretary General Ms. Choi Kyung Nam and H.E Ambassador Mehmet Gulluoglu and Vice President of the Turkish Green Crescent Society on ”resilience, leadership, and powerful stories of women in conflict and high-risk environments.”

This conversation reminded us once again that women are at the heart of peace, justice, and sustainable change.

On the same day, the president Khadija Oum Bachair El Morabit had a strategic meeting with the International Women’s Peace Group (IWPG) Global Region 8 Director Ms. Annie Kim, Ms. Elisa Shin, Manager of Operations, and with IWPG Netherlands Chapter Chair, to discuss IWPG – INLW partnership and cooperation signed last September in South Korea and to move forward with the launch of a joint project in the upcoming months.
On the 12th of March, the International Network of Liberal Women (INLW) has proudly issued a Joint statement at United Nations Commission on the Status of Women (UNCSW70) in New York together with the Liberal International and Khmer Democratic Rescue Foundation on the alarming situation of women in Sudan.
INLW along with Liberal International and Khmer Democratic Rescue Foundation stand in solidarity with women and girls in Sudan facing unimaginable violence. We call for accountability, protection, and urgent support for survivors.
Silence is not neutrality. It is complicity. Women’s rights are human rights, everywhere and always.
Before arriving to New York, our president Khadija Oum Bachair El Morabit, was delighted to give a video opening remark at a co-joint UNCSW70 side event co-organized by the International Network of Liberal Women and 亞太自由婦女協會 Asia-Pacific Liberal Women Association, APLW INLW Chapter and South and Southeast Asia Association Taiwan, on “Women driving judicial and policy reform in Southeast Asia”.
