On behalf of the Board of International Network of Liberal Women we would like to inform you about some of the last events that INLW has participated in.
INLW was represented with a delegation at the 58th Commission on the Status of Women at the UN held from 10th till 22nd of March in New York. The theme of this year’s CSW was “Challenges and achievements in the implementation of the Millennium Development Goals for women and girls”. See under ECOSOC for more information on our written Statement on the importance of including human rights in primary education. Our delegation consisted of Margaret de Vos van Steenwijk, president of INLW, Christine de Saint Genois and May Sing Yang both vice Presidents of INLW.
We were present with a delegation at the Executive Meeting of Liberal International held in Antigua, Guatemala between 18th and 20th of October 2013. INLW was represented there by amongst others Margaret de Vos van Steenwijk and Soesila Verhagen, member of the Board of INLW.
As you will be aware of Liberal International will hold its next Congress in Rotterdam in the Netherlands from Thursday 24th till Sunday 27th of April. For further information see www.liberal-international.org. At this congress INLW plans fringe meeting on Saturday the 26th of April from 9.00 am until 11.00 am. During this meeting we will launch cooperation in the form of a partnership with the ALDE Party Gender Equality Network (ALDE GEN).

The theme will be “Global Trade and Women”.
We will also hold our INLW General Meeting at this congress on Thursday 24th of April from 2.00 pm till 3.30 pm at the Manhattan Hotel in Rotterdam. All paying members have voting rights at our INLW General Meetings.
