INLW Resolution on Preventing and Combating Violence against Women as foreseen in the Istanbul Convention of the Council of Europe

INLW has submitted a resolution to the LI congress on the Istanbul Convention calling liberal parties to press on their governments to sign, ratify and implement this very important Convention on preventing and combating violence against women.

It is the intention of INLW to launch a campaign on this subject.

For the countries outside the Council of Europe INLW intends to encourage them as well to introduce the content of the provisions of the Convention into their own legislation where this legislation is not yet provided for on this subject .  And the ultimate  point on the horizon is a UN Convention being  set up and that all countries world wide embrace this future world wide Convention by signing, ratifying and finally implementing it so that preventing and combating  violence against women will form an integral part of every government policy world wide.
